Pharmacy technicians help licensed pharmacists prepare prescriptions and customer service. Certification is also available through the Institute for the certification.Salary and Job opportunities:According to the Occupational Outlook Handbook, median hourly wages of pharmacy technicians in May 2008 were $13.32, with the middle 50 percent earning between $10.95 and $15.88. The handbook also reports an expected increase of 25 percent in the employment of pharmacy technicians from 2008 to 2018.
